Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days

TCIS Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Plan

Goal for NTI Days:

Our goal for each Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day is for continuous learning to happen for our students even during inclement weather or emergency situations when school cannot be in session.

NTI Student Expectations:

For a student to be counted present on a NTI day, the student must complete the following process:

  • All students will login to their Google account to access Google Classroom or complete the paper copies provided by their teacher.
  • Students will have daily assignments following this schedule:
    • ODD Days 1, 3, 5, 7, 9- Reading, Writing, & Social Studies
    • EVEN Days 2, 4, 6, 8, 10- Math & Science
  • Teachers will be available through Google Classroom, Remind, or email to answer questions that students or parents have about assignments.
  • We expect all students to attempt assignments on the NTI day, but we realize that support may be needed when school is back in session.
  • Any questions or needs, please call TCIS at 270-465-5691.

Students Return to School:

  • Students should be prepared to turn in their assignment the day they return from the NTI day.  However, students may have additional time to complete assignments if support is needed.
  • If the student turns in the assignment or completes the activity, he/she is counted present.
  • If there are multiple days in a row, the same procedures will be followed.
